Gavin and Helens big day at Aldwick Court Farm and Vineyard in Redhill was my first trip to this stunning venue and I couldn't have wished for a more perfect day. When the sun is shining, September really is the perfect time of the year to get married, with the low sun and earlier sunsets.
I popped over to Weston Super-mare to meet the Gavin and his best man Ross first thing in the morning and had a fun little photo-shoot in the garden, which included plenty of heckling from the next door neighbour who was busy cutting his lawn! By the time I reached Helen at her parents house, she was almost ready to get into her amazing dress, being hurried along by an anxious father. Helen eventually made it to the Church a little late, so I was under strict instructions from the Vicar to not hold her up outside. That was not a problem, as I rarely setup photo's prior to the service, opting for the more natural shots instead.
Christ Church in Redhill is a photographers dream, with plenty of space, lots of natural light and a huge wooden roof. For the first time in my career as a wedding photographer, the vicar mentioned me during the service due to my comments about the Church resembling the Tardis!
After the service, we stopped en-route to Aldwick Court to use a family friends mansion and grounds for a few pics. I had such a great afternoon with Gavin and Helen at Aldwick court and was invited to join them for the Breakfast, which was so lovely of them. The food at the venue is out of this world and their own brand wine, made at the vineyard was just as delicious.
To cap things off, there was an amazing firework display courtesy of Firemagic www.firemagic.co.uk
