I meant to get this Blog uploaded back in September, but I've been so busy the past couple of months - especially with organising all the 2015 wedding bookings!
We spent a few days on the North Coast of Ireland, in a small town called Castlerock. I love the coast line in the area and I'm lucky to get out there a few times each year. On this visit I decided to try and capture Mussenden temple during the sunset, as the sun drops behind the mountains in the background. I trekked up the vantage point with all my gear (tripod, light stands, 2 x canon speed lights, pocket wizard transmitters + the camera!), hoping to get the perfect shot. I was about 2 minutes too late! The sun had already dropped behind the mountains. Not to be defeated, I carried on regardless and stayed for over an hour to make the most of the great colours in the sky.
I tried returning the next evening, this time a little earlier. Unfortunately, the fog rolled in so I once again missed out on the true sunset. I think the fog created quite an atmospheric shot and was quite pleased with the result. What wasn't so good was the trek back to the car in the fog in total darkness with all my gear!
