Our trip to Florence, Italy.

Back in May, myself and Janet flew over to Italy to spend a few days in Florence for our good friend Niamh's marriage to David.

The historic City is really impressive and is surrounded by the beautifull hills of Tuscany.  We stayed in the neighbouring town of Fiesole, which overlooks the City.  It's such a perfect place to stay when visiting Florence.  The weather was very mixed during our trip and unseasonably cool, which was a little bit unfortunate for Niamh and David, but made for some dramatic skylines!

The wedding was a bit of a wash out unfortunately, but it didn't stop anyone from having fun.  On the way from the Church to the wedding reception we got caught up in the annual 100 KM Del Passatore run, which meant we had to leave our taxi and walk along the route of the race!

Whilst waiting for the next taxi to collect us, we heard one of the runners shout out to one of the wedding party, someone in the race recognised one of David's friends!

We had a great time in Florence and we hope to visit again soon.
